Authentic Vintage Space 1999 Metal Lunchbox by Thermos

Description

Great piece of yesteryear in this metal Space: 1999 lunchbox manufactured in 1975.  The lunchbox has been used and shows wear - heavy scuffing on the one side and general rust from time and wear, but still in good shape considering it's 45 years old!  The bright yellow handle has kept it's color and is good working condition along with the plastic clip for the lid.  The lid to the box opens easily with no hanging up or heavy rubbing.  There is normal wear and denting from use but no heavy, out-of-the-ordinary dents (Please refer to the photos).  I remember carrying metal lunchboxes like this to school and sliding them down the sidewalk to crash into the other lunchboxes stacked in front of the classrooms while the kids were still at recess.  This lunchbox had better care and does not seem to have endured that fate.  Items are not substituted, the item you see in the photos is the item you are purchasing.   A true classic for the collector of early Sci-fi memorabilia.
