Use the Defend Air HEPA 500 Activated Carbon Filter with the F284 Defend Air HEPA 500 Air Scrubber to remove airborne odors caused by smoke, food, gases, paint, paint thinner, sewage and many other noxious odors including VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Often after the source of an odor is removed, noxious particles linger in the air. Combining carbon and HEPA filtration is especially effective in removing airborne soot and the odor it creates. (Place the Stage 2 Pre-Filter between the carbon filter and HEPA primary filter to extend the HEPA filter’s life. )
