Vintage Nancy Ann(?) Doll

My wife has had this doll from childhood. The doll is marked 'Nancy Ann Doll - Made in Hong Kong'.
Her body, clothes, hairstyle and hat look like a Muffie Around the World France doll, except her face is obviously not.
I’ve wondered if she was made after the company went bankrupt and the doll parts and accessories were sold off (late 1960s-early 1970s), but I don’t know for sure…there’s got to be some story behind how she came to be.
She is in good condition, with some fading of clothes and skin tone (please see pictures).
She has light reddish rooted hair, aqua eyes, green eye shadow, painted lower eye lashes, a blue dress; black hat and vest with red ties, a white apron with red flower ribbon; white lace top, petticoat and bloomers, white socks; individually formed fingers and toes, and red shoes.
She is 8" tall.
No box.
